Lisa Nyanda-Manalo, M.D.
Dr. Nyanda is a double board-certified dermatologist and pediatrician. She earned her doctorate in medicine from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. She continued her post medical training and completed two competitive residency programs at the University of South Florida. In her final year of dermatology, she served as the chief resident of academic education.
Since completing her training, she has focused her practice on caring for both pediatric and adult dermatological conditions. In addition, she provides a wide variety of services from screening to the management of skin cancers. She also offers cosmetic services such as Botox, cosmetic fillers, and more.
Dr. Nyanda has dedicated her practice to providing compassionate service. Her goal is to incorporate the most innovative approach to delivering the best dermatological care possible.
Michael Wangia, MD, FAAD
Dr. Michael Wangia is a board-certified Mohs Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery for Nyanda Dermatology. He has the distinctive honor of being one of a few triple board-certified dermatologists. He is board certified in Dermatology, Dermatopathology and Mohs Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery.
Born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya, Dr. Wangia, moved to the U.S. to complete his undergraduate studies at Utah Valley University, where he was a Presidential Scholar and earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in chemistry. Dr. Wangia earned his Medical Degree from Howard University where he graduated with honors and was inducted in the Alpha Omega Alpha National Honor Medical Society. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine and his Residency in Dermatology at the University of Florida, where he served as a Chief Resident. During his training, he was awarded the Outstanding Resident Teacher Award by the Society of Teaching Scholars and The Arnold P. Gold Foundation, Humanism in Medicine Award.
After dermatology residency, Dr. Wangia completed a Fellowship in Dermatopathology at the University of Florida. During this time he had extensive training, studying skin diseases at the microscopic level. He completed his soft tissue and melanocyte pathology externships at the Cleveland Clinic and University of California San Francisco respectively. Dr. Wangia also serves as Volunteer Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology and Dermatopathology at the University of Florida and Howard University, D.C.
Dr. Wangia has a special interest in skin cancer, complex medical dermatologic conditions, skin of color dermatology, and medical education especially mentoring medical students and dermatology residents.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children. His hobbies include playing soccer, running, watching sports and travelling with his family.
Katrina Maier, PA-C
ABD Certified
Katrina Maier is board-certified by the NCCPA and licensed by the State of Florida. She is currently a member of the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants.
Born and raised in Orlando, she graduated from the University of Central Florida with her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences while subsequently becoming a certified personal trainer through NASM.
Katrina then went on to earn her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at University of South Florida’s Morsani College of Medicine.
Katrina is passionate about providing personalized care and utilizing the latest advancements in dermatologic treatments to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
In her spare time, Katrina enjoys spending time with her husband and their mini Australian Shepherd. You can usually find her going on a long walk (covered in sunscreen and wearing a wide brim hat), reading a book, or attending her favorite reformer pilates class.
Onyx Davis, PA-C
ABD Certified
Onyx Davis is a licensed and certified physician assistant. She graduated cum laude from the University of Tampa with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a minor in Music. She was also a member of Alpha Epsilon Delta, a national health pre-professional honor society. She received her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from South University in Tampa, Florida, where she graduated with high honors and was inducted into the Pi Alpha national honor society, a membership that represents significant academic achievement, leadership, research, community/professional service, or other related activities, and encourages a high standard of character and conduct among students.
She is passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centered care to help individuals understand, manage, and feel confident in their dermatologic health. Onyx is a proud member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA) where she holds a certification as a Diplomate Fellow. She is also a member of the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) as well as the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants (FAPA).
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, dedicating time to fitness and wellness, cooking, listening to music, and playing her violin.

Rebecca Paffenroth, N.P.
ABD Certified
Rebecca is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner who obtained her degree from the University of South Florida in 2018. Formally, a certified oncology nurse, Rebecca has spent the past 5 years specializing in dermatology with a mission to educate on prevention and early detection of skin cancers.
Rebecca has spent over 15 years working in healthcare and she has a natural ability to make all patients feel comfortable when in her presence. She takes pride in giving treatment plans individualized to each patient and their goals, especially to those with chronic skin conditions. In addition to treating many medical dermatology conditions, Rebecca is also a trained Botox and Filler injector and she is looking forward to expanding in esthetic medicine here at Nyanda Dermatology.
